Function: The cabin filter sits near the internal intake for your car, and ends up filtering all the air you breathe while in your vehicle. This filter helps eliminate pollution, pollens, and other airborne nuisances, as well as small debris. This filter is important for your health and safety.
Fitment: Replacement for Dodge Ram 1500. Recommend replacing the cabin filter every 12,000 to 15,000 miles. But you may need to replace it more often if you drive regularly on dirt roads or in areas with heavy smog.
Replace Part Number: 68406048AA. A bad cabin air filter can cause an irregular smell originating from the vehicle`s interior vents. An excessively contaminated filter may produce a dusty, dirty, or unpleasant odor. It is recommended to replace the cabin filter at this time.
Easy to Install: You can use a sharp utility knife to create a hole for the filter. The cover needs to be sliced along the ridge which is the correct size for the filter, then slide the filter into created hole followed by the new cover. Make sure the two tabs click in place.
