Artichokes are harvested and selected to obtain the hearts which are then cut into slices and lightly cooked to stop the oxidisation process. The slices are frozen and then packaged in as little time as possible to preserve the freshness of the original product as much as possible. Alce Nero artichoke heart slices are very compact, light green in colour, extremely tender, delicious and naturally rich in fibre. They are an ideal ingredient for delicious puree soups, first courses and savoury pies, or as a simple and delicious garnish.
