The "Alcoholic Beverages" category includes a wide range of drinks that contain ethyl alcohol and can cause intoxication when consumed in large quantities.

It is divided into two main subcategories:

  • Wines
  • Hard alcoholic beverages

Wines are alcoholic beverages made from fermented grapes. They are divided into still wines, champagne, and sparkling wines.

Still wines are wines that do not contain carbon dioxide and are not fizzy. They can be white, red, or pink, depending on the grape variety and production technology.

Champagne and sparkling wine are wines that contain carbon dioxide, which creates sparkling and bubbles. Champagne is produced in a specific region of France, while other sparkling wines can be produced in different countries around the world.

Hard alcoholic beverages are alcoholic beverages that contain more than 20% alcohol by volume. They are produced by distilling and aging alcoholic beverages such as vodka, whiskey, gin, brandy, rum, tequila, and mezcal. Each of these drinks has its own unique taste and origin story.

For example, vodka is a clear drink made from grains, whiskey is a drink made from grains and aged in wooden barrels, and tequila is a Mexican drink made from blue agave juice.

Although alcoholic beverages can bring pleasure when consumed in moderation, it is important to remember that their excessive consumption can have negative health consequences. Therefore, they should be consumed with caution and moderation, as well as following the recommendations of nutrition specialists and medical professionals.
